Coming to the Player's Theatre, Port Macquarie on Wednesday 13 March is acclaimed American vocal group Windborne and celebrated harpist Christina Tourin (USA) supported by Andrea Kirwin and Claire Evelynn. Hailed by Songline's magazine as 'the most exciting vocal group of a generation', Windborne are in Australia and heading to the Blue Mountains Music Festival, Yackandandah Folk Festival and National Folk Festival and will be stopping in Port Macquarie for one night only. 


With a 20-year background studying polyphonic music around the world, Lauren Breunig, Jeremy Carter-Gordon, Lynn Rowan, and Will Rowan share a vibrant energy onstage with a blending of voices that can only come from decades of friendship alongside dedicated practice. The ensemble shifts effortlessly between drastically different styles of music, drawing their audience along on a journey that spans continents and centuries.


The incredible Christina Tourin is also joining Windborne on select shows and will be performing on the Celtic Harp on Wednesday 13 March. She is the founder of the International Harp Therapy Program worldwide and has been travelling as a performer, educator, composer and mystic for over 50 years and has taught thousands of students and performed in some of the world's most sacred spaces. She even performed as the resident harpist for the Von Trapp family's Austrian style Chateau for 17 years in Vermont and would regularly play for Maria Von Trapp. 


Andrea Kirwin is an Australian/Fijian singer-songwriter and will be accompanied by her wife Claire Evelynn on the Celtic Harp. Andrea also runs Peace Run Records and Agency who has organised the tour and brought Windborne and Christina out to Australia. This concert will be a celebration of the power of the human voice and the magic of the Celtic harp and all ages are welcome! Tickets are $30 with a concession price of $20 and doors open 5.30pm for a 6.20pm showtime.
